American Garden notches double in OFBC FAL Season 4

Already the Friday Morning League Season 3 defending champion American Garden also entered a team in the OFBC Friday Afternoon League Season 4 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.
For team captain Vovstone the decision to try to win a double championship could not have been a wiser one after American Garden won Team of the Week honors with a men’s Bowler of the Week to boot at the start of the tournament.
American Garden came up with the top tally of 24 points after beating Red Dragons 18-2 and gaining the top rank points of 6 with its total pinfalls of 2,661. Red Dragons totaled 2,454 pinfalls.
Lexter Paul Atienza made it an American Garden double when he shared the men’s Bowler of the Week award with Thong Langa of Pin Pals on identical seires of 574.
Pin Pals were the second-best on the day with 23 points, beating D’ Luf’s Strikers 18-2 on total pinfalls of 2,572-2,537.
Defending champion RTJ Transient House brought down Kingpin-Guins 18-2 (2,552-2,503) to finish the session on 22 points.
Carmen Duma gave Luf’s some consolation when she romped off with the ladies Bowler of the Week award on 566.
Shirley Sagmit carded 513 as she teamed with Atienza in helping push American Garden to the top of the team standings. Mar Lagan added 486, Fuly Primo tossed in 412 while Archie Alcantara and Louie Pacia tallied 133-183 and 188.
In a losing cause Red Dragons banked on the trio of Robert de Guzman 466, Arman Gamboa 442 and Usman de Guzman 421.
D’ Luf’s surprisingly got its top scores from its ladies as Randa De Guzman put her 541 beside Carmen’s 586. Alexander Duma contributed 485 with Danny Atubang on 127-146, Danny Francisco 159-122 and Farida De Guzman 110-117.
The defending champions had the trio of Ed Cordova, Richard Junio and Kristhea Mae Busico at the helm on 543, 518 and 508. The other scorers are Jack Jarin 474, Hadi Pacheo 173-165, and Jhun Ejanda 146.
