Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) recently celebrated the winners of its two contests promoting volunteerism, which were conducted in Ramadan.
Participants were required to share a short video of their volunteer work. Winners were chosen on the basis of the most retweets and likes for the videos posted by the participants.
The best volunteer teams received cash prizes worth SR15,000 ($4,000) to SR100,000 with the total prize amount estimated at SR560,000. The winning work will be documented on all social media platforms.
Maziad bin Nasser Alharbi, chief technology officer of Mobily, presented the prizes to the winners. He said the contests aimed at establishing volunteer culture in Saudi Arabia and are in line with the company’s leading role in social responsibility programs through supporting society.
“This successful initiative is in line with Vision 2030 ... it covered several volunteer activities across the Kingdom in various fields,” Alharbi added.
