RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki met on Thursday with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss “matters of mutual interest, including regional security,” reported Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The meeting is a continuation of ongoing bilateral security cooperation, and a Pakistani military contingent is being sent to the Kingdom on a training and advice mission, said ISPR, the media wing of the Pakistani Army.
The contingent will not be deployed beyond Saudi borders, and the Pakistani Army maintains security cooperation with “many” countries in the region, ISPR added.
