JEDDAH: Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman and Sudan’s Vice President Dr. Hasabo Mohammed Abdul Rahman discussed issues of mutual interest during a meeting in Madinah on Monday, which was attended by several key officials.

The Sudanese vice president arrived in Madinah on Friday to visit the Prophet’s Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan. Senior officials received him at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport.

Saudi Arabia and Sudan enjoy cordial ties.  Last month, Sudan President Omar Bashir visited the Kingdom to attend the 29th Arab Summit at King Abdul Aziz International Cultural Center.

On the sidelines of the meeting, he met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the region.
