The Nation: PM pledges govt’s zero interference in media affairs

October 17: The Nation report by Monitoring Desk states that Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday announced withdrawal of five per cent duty on newsprint and assured all out support in resolving problems being faced by the media industry. The Prime Minister was talking to a delegation of representatives of Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) and Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) which called on him in Islamabad. The premier expressed the confidence that the government would soon resolve problems being faced by the country through its prudent policies.
