Many schools inspect students’ lunchboxes to make sure parents are packing healthy lunch options. Here are some satisfying regional snacks you can pack for even the most fussy eaters.

  • Zaatar wraps

    A zaatar wrap is a great option for lunch on the go. The herb is also said to boot the immune system.  

  • Falafel

    Falafel are packed with protein and fiber, but make sure to bake — not fry — them to ensure your child has a healthier option in their lunchbox.  

  • Halloumi

    Make fun shapes with halloumi cheese to keep your children excited for lunch time. Simply use widely available cookie cutters for this fun snack.

  • Turkey and cheese wrap

    A turkey and cheese manakish will give your child a meal rich in protein and calcium. Wraps are easy to eat and cause far less mess than typical sandwiches — perfect for lunchtimes at school.

  • Carrots sticks and tahini

    To make carrot sticks more appealing, add a little pot of tahini sauce in your child’s lunchbox for a fun and filling snack.

    Date cookies are the perfect dessert for your child because they are naturally sweetened. You can even involve your little ones in the baking process.
