6 locally-made hand creams for all that extra washing

You’ve probably been washing your hands a lot more than usual recently and this could lead to itchiness and dryness.  Here are some Middle East-made moisturizers to stay soft and comfortable.

  • Murad

If you have sensitive skin, the Iraqi brand Murad’s youth builder Rejuvenating AHA Hand Cream is the moisturizer for you. It is best to start applying moisturizer on the back of your hands first.

  • Toulane

The Palestinian brand’s Lemongrass Shea Butter moisturizer is rich in vitamin E. In general, shea butter helps protect the skin’s natural oils.

  • Shiffa

Hydrating creams keep your hands less prone to water loss and the Middle Eastern brand’s Tamanu moisturizer does just that.

  • Camel Soap Factory

Some soaps remove natural oils produced by your skin and leave your hands dry and itchy. The brand’s Camel Milk soap is rich in alpha hydroxy acids, vitamins, minerals and anti-inflammatory proteins that leave your hands hydrated.

  • Shirley Conlon Organics

The UAE-based brand’s Hydrating Serum helps repair dryness at a cellular level. It includes antioxidants, like amaranth, to help dry, mature and thirsty skin.

  • Izil Beauty

The Moroccan brand’s Sandalwood Coconut body lotion nourishes and repairs the skin’s protective barrier.
