DUBAI: Renowned Iraqi singer Kadim Al-Sahir is set to perform at Dubai’s long-awaited Expo 2020.
The star, famous for his songs “Qoulee Ouhiboki” and “Ana Wa Laila,” will kickstart the Infinite Night series, which will take place physically and digitally, on Oct. 15.
Al-Sahir, who is nicknamed the “Caesar of Arabic Song,” said in a released statement: “I am excited to be back in front of an audience after a two-year break, to open the Infinite Nights series from the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to unite the world through music and song, and celebrate our accomplishments. I am honored to be part of this incredible global event that will bring the world together, and I promise you it will be a great night,” added Al-Sahir.
Infinite Nights will take place throughout Expo 2020, which runs from Oct. 1 to March 31, welcoming visitors to celebrate human creativity, innovation, progress and culture.
The full list of celebrities performing at the event is yet to be announced.
