  • Saudi Arabia is very well positioned with its rapid use of 5G technology

RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha will attend the annual meeting of the Saudi Economic Association on Monday.
The theme of the meeting, organised with the support of Saudi Aramco and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation is “The Digital Economy.”Dr. Nourah bint Abdulrahman Al-Yousef, chairperson of the board of directors of the association, said the meeting aims at focusing on research in accordance with the National Transformation Program and the Saudi Vision 2030. Innovative digital technologies have created huge economic opportunities for the society and have “resulted in several challenges that need thoughtful consideration.”
She said that digitalization is the intensified reliance on interconnected digital services by consumers, institutions and governments which played an important role in helping policymakers to enhance economic growth and improve the levels of efficiency and service productivity.
Saudi Arabia is very well positioned with its rapid use of 5G technology.
