Danube is a supermarket and hypermarket chain in Saudi Arabia. It is owned by BinDawood Holding, the grocery retail operator of hypermarkets and supermarkets in Saudi Arabia.  

Since becoming part of BinDawood Holding in 2001, Danube has expanded to 47 current locations.

According to the 2022 Brand Finance Middle East 150 report, Danube’s brand value improved by a record 39.4 percent from last year.

Despite the inability to carry out promotional campaigns such as “Back to School,” year-end festivities and food festivals due to the pandemic, Danube managed to strengthen its promotional activities on its e-commerce and social media platforms, which led to an increase in the promotion metric, which strengthened its brand value pillar. 

They also expanded internationally last year through their home improvement division, Danube Homes, opening new showrooms in Uzbekistan and Nepal, and are planning to take Danube Homes to more than 50 countries worldwide.
