SANAA, 22 January — Saudi Arabia and Yemen yesterday signed new documents related to the implementation of their border treaty. Interior Minister Prince Naif and his Yemeni counterpart Hussein Arab signed the minutes following a meeting of the joint committee on implementing the treaty.
Prince Naif told reporters the two countries had gone a long way toward carrying out the border accord and its annexes. "Our mission was a success," he said about the committee's efforts. Prince Naif met with Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh in Taaz before returning to Riyadh yesterday.
The Saudi minister said the border accord would open new opportunities in all areas, especially in economic and investment sectors. (SPA)
