JEDDAH, 4 February — The Jeddah Municipality has taken measures to ensure the safety of fast food supplied after taking orders on telephone.
The time of preparation of the food should be shown in the invoice sent to the consumer, according to new instructions issued by the civic body. The food should be delivered without delay so that it does not lose its hygienic value. Vegetable salads should not be supplied along with the food and drinking water should be carried in tightly sealed packets as per the new guidelines.
Soap and tissue papers should be supplied along with the food. The workers must wear gloves and cover their heads and carry health certificates. Customers are requested not to buy from outlets which do not comply with the regulations. (SPA)
