DAMMAM, 19 July — Eastern Province Governor Prince Muhammad ibn Fahd has reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He was speaking after opening a festival organized in solidarity with Al-Quds intifada here on Tuesday night.
“Our policy toward the Palestinian issue is very clear. We have adopted this policy ever since the time of King Abdul Aziz,” the governor said and underscored the Kingdom’s unlimited support to the Palestinians.
The program was organized by the Riyadh-based World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) to mobilize support for Palestinian intifada. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Rabia, WAMY’s supervisor in the Eastern Province, briefed the audience on its activities worldwide.
Prince Muhammad underlined the prominent place the Al-Aqsa Mosque has in the hearts of the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims. He noted the financial assistance extended by the Kingdom to protect the mosque and help the families of Palestinian fighters and martyrs.
He said the atrocities committed by Israel against unarmed Palestinians have once again proved the barbarity of Jews and their enmity toward Arabs and Muslims. “The Islamic organizations must bare the Zionist designs to the world.”
Prince Muhammad called upon Muslims to extend all-out support for the Palestinians reeling under the Israeli aggression. He commended the bravery of Palestinians who put up a strong resistance to Israeli occupation.
