Cash rewards for Civil Defense men

JIZAN, 18 September — Cash rewards will be given to Civil Defense officials who retrieve the bodies of drowned people in a move to encourage officials to undertake risky tasks, according the assistant director of Civil Defense in the region. A month’s salary will be paid as an inducement to any official who brings out a body from the sea, wells, swimming pools or dams, while those who take out bodies from quagmires, pits and sewage wells and tanks will be paid two months’ salary, Okaz newspaper reported yesterday.
