JEDDAH, 15 October — A mobile consular team from the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah will visit Abha and Khamis Mushayt on Oct. 17 and 18, Jizan on Oct. 19, Al-Birk on Oct. 20 and Qunfudah on Oct. 21, 2001 to render passporting, consular, labor, welfare and related services (SSS, Pag-ibig and ITR filing) to the Filipino community in those areas.

This is in line with the continuing thrust of the consulate to reach out to all the Filipino workers in the Western Region and to provide them with the needed services right at their jobsites, said a press statement released by Consul General Kadatuan Usop.

The team will hold temporary office at Al-Azizia Hotel in Khamis Mushayt, Al Atheel Hotel in Jizan and at Tihama Hotel in Qunfudah, and will meet with Filipino fishermen living at the coastal areas in Al Birk. With the team are representatives from the various sections of the consulate, such as labor, welfare, social security and housing for OFWs who wish to enroll in or enlist their services.
