The twin bill is SAFECO (Saudia Selection ) versus San Juan Knights (Printshop/Old Airport) team, for the non-rated category.
SAFECO dominated the first 10 minutes of the first half as A. Navera and Illustre controlled the boards by leading as much as 10 points with the half-time score of 33/29. The final canton of the half time Illustre, Joey Magalong, and Urquia combined for a total of 26 points to stop the effort of San Juan Knights Galiza and Rolluda to come in any closer as the final bell ended with 72/63. The second game for the rated category is between Saudia All Stars and the Manila MetroStars, as the crowds eagerly watched new faces from the Saudia All Star team with the Metro Stars proved too strong against their opponent as Raymond Suarez, Eric Custonia, Choy Havana, and Towering De Guia combined 36 points to lead the first half against Saudia’s Jojo Chaves, Dennis, and Macapas. resulting in halftime score of 50/30 in favor of the MetroStars.
Second half continue as Allan Tolo added 11 points showing his speed and fastbreak and supported by R. Suarez, Havana, and De Guia, foiling the efforts of Jojo Chaves, Dennis, Chris Magno, and Cabiles to even come within striking distance as final score ended with the Metro Stars prevailing at 93/77.
