Sultan to open Najran power project

JEDDAH, 25 February — Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, will commission the new expansion of the central power generating plant in Najran on Wednesday. The project, which was carried out at a cost of SR238 million, will increase the plant’s generating capacity to 367 megawatt, Al-Watan reported. Prince Sultan will leave here today on an inspection tour of the military commands and installations in the Southern region. He will also convey Eid greetings of King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah to the armed forces stationed in the region.
