RIYADH , 12 April — D’Brothers Ltd. bowling team and Ferdie Ramos of the Vision 2 team shared honors by clinching the best team of the week and the best bowler of the week on the 7th week of the OFWBR “Paistaran” regulated Monday Family Bowling League at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Alley.
D’Brothers Ltd. emerged as the best team of the week by snatching 22 big points over the Vision 2. The veteran Wilson Bacala spearheaded the brilliant performances of the D’Brothers Ltd. Team by carding a four game series of 801. Promising Arnold Belen and Ed Rodriguez together with Cris Ibarra supported Bacala by contributing a separate series of 783, 781 and 735. Team captain, Benny Quebral added a series of 655.
Cornering the limelight in the Vision 2 team was the best bowler of the week awardee, Ferdie Ramos who toppled a four game series of 831. Alex Bandoy, the team captain came-in next to Ramos with a series of 692. Norman Espejo had a series of 557 and Ruben Diaz rolled 544 points. Rene Enriquez downed 334 series in two games.
The Maros Bowlers of Mario Rosal humiliated the ABB All Stars of Mon Teodoro (20-1) and leading scorers in the Maros squad was the veteran Pep Maghinay with 817. Yuli Braganza and Ed Sy dazzled to sparkle a separate series of 760 and 711. Leo Mabunga collected a series of 501 in three games and Mario Rosal had 489 points in three matches.
The promising Mel Solas together with Mon Teodoro and Glenn Espiritu led in the ABB All Stars by posting a separate series of 771, 712 and 705. Edwin Bathan downed 612 series in four games. Having a blind player, the ABB All Stars tallied overall total team output of 3320 pinfalls.
The Mission X team of Larry Mondoy walloped the Ultra team of Art Esguerra (19-12). Reden Tulabut led in the Mission X by posting a four game series of 815. Abdulrahman Jose sizzled to score a series of 783. Jimmy Medina and Oca Bernabe shot a series of 676 and 655 in three games. Eden Bergonio had 534 series and Rolly Amis downed 335 series in two games. The Mission X team’s astounding win over the Ultra team broke team records in the high series scratch (3676) and high game scratch (1039).
At helm in the Ultra team was Resty de Jesus with 737, followed by Jimmy Ocampo (583), Rey Dela (573), and Boy Zapanta (569). Jun Jabonero, Willie Pamilaran and Jene Canlas toppled a separate two game series of 368, 361 and 338.
Other matches: Bukabin Eagles Bt. Black Phyton (19-2), D’Hunks Bt. Adrenalin (16-6), KAMC Bt. Unicap (15-4).
