RIYADH, 25 July — Two more Saudi employees working at British Aerospace (BAE) from the Northern Province were sacked and refused to be reinstated in the company, it was learned yesterday.

Bassam Al-Zargi and Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri were first notified of contract termination last February after they had refused to sign the new controversial annual contracts recently enforced on BAE’s Saudi employees.

Al-Zargi was director of computer networks and database while Al-Tuwaijri worked as a civil engineer. Yahya Al-Faifi of the Eastern Province is the third Saudi employee whose contract has been terminated by BAE so far.

"We are not in a position to comment on the sacking or even employing of any employees," Abdulhadi Al-Abdullah, BAE human resources manager told Arab News yesterday.

"Employing is the responsibility of Al-Yamamah Project Office," he said, adding that BAE has nothing to do with the termination of the two employees.

The Al-Yamamah project officer was not available for comment.

After four sessions with the company in the Tabuk Labor Office, the court ruled in our favor, but we are refused to be reinstated in our positions," Al-Zargi told Arab News over telephone from Tabuk.

He said the company was taking advantage of its right to appeal the ruling within a month. BAE intends to appeal the new ruling.

Meanwhile, BAE’s Saudi employees have intensified their campaign against BAE Systems with a new lawsuit filed by more than 100 employees from Riyadh and presented Saturday before the labor office in Riyadh.

"BAE was informed to attend the court session scheduled to be held at the labor office in Riyadh next Sunday," an informed source told Arab News .

The number of employees who filed lawsuits in Riyadh alone has crossed 200.

"The number is increasing every day" he added.
