SR29m aid for Palestinians

JEDDAH, 19 August — International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), an affiliate of Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), extended more than SR29 million, in cash and kind, to Palestinians since the beginning of intifada till July end. In a statement, IIRO Secretary-General Dr. Adnan ibn Khalil Basha said IIRO had distributed food materials and medical supplies inside Palestine through its office in Jordan, in addition to extending medical services to Palestinian refugees within Jordan. Last year, IIRO extended more than SR 50.7 million in aid to Palestinians. (SPA)
