BAKU, 3 September — Dr. Abdullah Al-Turki, secretary-general of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), met here yesterday with Ali Hassanov, Azerbaijan’s deputy premier and head of the government committee in charge of the affairs of refugees and displaced people. The Azerbaijan deputy premier said the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) had extended more than $10 million as relief assistance in a short period, while the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) assisted 80 families and gave scholarships to about 70 students.
