Shabab and Hilal win

JEDDAH, 28 October — Al-Shabab overwhelmed Al-Ahli 4-2 in a pulsating encounter in the King Fahd Cup last night, writes Ali Masoud from Jeddah.

The strong Shabab side held their grasp on the game from the beginning as their forwarders showed no mercy when they netted four goals in the process.

Muhammad Al-Fifi, Bashir Jahvi, Zaid Al-Muwallad, Saleh Sadeek scored one goal each for Al-Shabab.

For Ahli, Talal Al-Mishaal and Muhammad Barakat showed some resistance by scoring two goals in reply.

Ahli tried their best to narrow the difference but they could not escape from defeat.

Al-Hilal defeated Al-Ta’ie 2-1 in another encounter of the day.

Goals from Brazilian veteran Somalia and Kingdom’s Ahmed Khalil helped Hilal to a facile victory over the struggling Ta’ie.

Selso scored the lone goal for Ta’ie.
