Equality between the sexes has become a common topic for discussion these days. People keep making comparisons between men and women; some call publicly for sexual equality while others will only do so indirectly.
First, there is no need whatsoever to make comparisons. It would be illogical for any comparison to be made since comparisons are only made between two distinct and different entities capable of surviving independently of each other. This does not apply in the case of men and women because neither can survive independently without the other. The two should not be viewed as rivals since they represent two inseparable halves, complementing each other.
It is true that each has his or her rights and duties but these rights and duties are made to suit the sex. Women should not listen to these calls for equality because answering it would only put them on a collision course with men. The advocates of equal rights want to force women into taking up jobs that are basically not designed for them either physically or emotionally.
This is not intended in any way to deny women their achievements and contributions to the development of our society. However, such contributions came at a price with women being led into roles that were not intended for them. And they were driven there by the ulterior motives of the very advocates of freedom and equality.
When women began leaving home in search of work, they competed with men for jobs and caused male unemployment to increase. This is why many young men find it very difficult these days to get a job. And the result is that because they lack a steady income, they cannot start a family.
Modern civilization is concerned with promoting science and encouraging discoveries while ignoring morality and religion. It may have succeeded in correcting people’s bodies but it has certainly failed to console their tortured souls.
