Stranded OFWs in Jeddah get gift from APO alumni chapter

JEDDAH, 11 December 2002 — Stranded Filipino workers were the recipients of foodstuffs and various grocery items donated by the Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association chapter in the Western Region (APOAAWR) recently.

Chapter members led by their president, Reynaldo O. Vicencio, and executive vice president, Surafah Raffy Campiao, distributed the goodies in the presence of Consul General Kadatuan P. Usop and Welfare Officer Mustapha U. H. Glang.

Also present were members Esmael S. Ali, Mohammed Peddie H. Holanda, Omar Hilbert Salvacion, Rexie Hermano, Bobby Dalos, Amer Meljun Fabicon, Bernie Mariano, Mama Malang, Jhune Sagun, Feliciano Bhoy Reyes, Effie Dumalaon, Reyvee Valencia, Jun Sakkam, Jonathan Labaton, Rey Soriano, Rolly Arcay, Aida Salvacion, and Meda Mayo.

In behalf of the stranded workers, Usop and Glang expressed appreciation to the APOAAWR members for going out of their way to help their unfortunate compatriots.

One of the biggest and oldest fraternities in the Philippines, APO is celebrating its 77th year of “leadership, friendship and service.”
