Guinomla Sets New Record: BBG Bowlfest

JEDDAH, 28 February 2003 — Hashim Guinomla returned to center stage with a record-breaking feat in the Tuesday Night League here at the Jeddah Bowling Center. Al-Alamiah stalwart Hashim Guinomla, after erasing the high series scratch of Ruben Medina (714) with a 716 effort, increased the record to a new high by posting a 3-game series of 734.

His sterling game of 277 was followed by 237 and 220 for the new record. The 277 score he submitted was his 4th entry card to the BBG Elite Club. The prize, however, will be given to Majid Aslani of Thunderball. He scored the second highest series at 675 (191, 238 and 246).

Comfort Fabric Softener was the best team of the match. The quintet of Joey Salvador, Randy Mata, Ver Luz, Raul de los Reyes and Ding Abaygar swept to a total of 3099 equivalent to 68 points including the bonus of 18.

The prize, however, will be awarded to Tuesday Spoilers (Panggulo) since all teams had already been given the award except them. The ‘Spoilers’ posted 41 points.

Ahmad Hobani of Thunderball was awarded of a special sakuna prize for making a strike without first hitting the head pin.
