JEDDAH, 10 June 2003 — Saudia Milk’s skipper Anis Malik will lead JCL in the inter-city match against the visiting team of Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA).
The Executive Committee of Jeddah Cricket League also named Syed Wajahat Hussain of Mahmoud Saeed and Shahid Amin as captains for President XI and Executive Committee XI, respectively. The annual inter-city championship between Jeddah Cricket League (JCL) and Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) will be held on June 12 and 13 in Jeddah.
The matches are to be played at JCL Sports Complex-Saudia Milk, Kanoo and Mahmoud Saeed grounds. The ground committee, under supervision of Aijaz Ahmed Khan Lodhi, has done the leveling, rolling, compacting and making work of 75,000 sq. yards playing area excellently. Majeedul Hasan, Hamid Rana, Naeemullah Khan, Ahsan Rafay, Mohammed Iftikhar Hussain, Zafer Makki, Akhtar Hussain, Ahmed Nadim Nadwi and Sadiqul Islam.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Naeemullah Khan and Hamid Saeed Rana have been appointed as manager and coordinator respectively for the JCL XI team, Shahid Amin announced in a JCL Executive Committee meeting recently. EPCA team is due here on Wednesday.
On Thursday, EPCA President XI will play against JCL President XI. The same day afternoon a traditional social match arranged between JCL Executive Committee XI and EPCA Executive Committee XI.
JCL will hold a reception in honor of guests, officials and players of EPCA and JCL. Abdul Jabbar Hussain, president of Yanbu Cricket League and Syed Zahid Ali, president, Madinah Cricket Association will also attend the reception. On Friday, the inter-city title match is to be played between the EPCA XI and the JCL XI. JCL Executive Committee appointed officials for this event which are as follows:

Meanwhile, JCL Executive Committee is organizing a farewell match on June 19 in honor of their long-time associate Mohammed Zafar Makki, currently working with Zultec Technical Service as a sales executive, is emigrating from Saudi Arabia to USA.
