RIYADH, 20 June 2003 — Ace Eddie Eder sizzled 850 series scratch in four games to grab the bowler of the week award and lifted the TJ & Co. to the best team of the week award by garnering 20 points in the 23rd week of the House of Donuts/OFWBR Monday Night Regulated Bowling League being played at the Riyadh Bowling Club (RBC).
Eder downed 214, 233, 172 and 231 and was assisted by the multiawarded bowler of the week holder Elmer Penoso, who tallied a four game series scratch of 832 on lines of 180, 225, 202 and 225. Tony Jimenea sparked 662 series in four matches while Louie Agtarap and the famous Benjie Lorenzo scored a separate series of 650 and 646. The Bigots Bowlers of Mario Rosal claimed the second best team of the week award by pumping-in 20 points over their rival, the ABB Tribe II who sealed 2 points. Leo Mabunga led in the Bigots by posting a series of 799 and followed by teammates Babes Nival (717), Sulaiman Jesusco (705) and Rosal (695). Pat Raz carded 551 series in three games.
Glenn Espiritu topscored in the ABB Tribe II by scoring a series of 797 in three sets. Noli Medrano and Edwin Bathan scored a series of 730 and 710 while Ed Santiago had a series of 666. The ABB Tribe II, playing with a blind player collected overall total team series handicap of 3403 pinfalls.
The game between the Power Grip and the Strike NB2 resulted in 18-8 and in favor of the Power Grip. Arnold Marchan was at helm for the Power Grip with a series of 783, rolling a game-high of 255 in the third game. For his feat, he will receive a personalized OFWBR 250 club jacket. Nestor Ranido dazzled to post a series of 738. Freddie Santiago seared the lanes to score 718 while Shakur Kamlian and Jojo Miraflor collected separate series of 579 and 537 in three outings.
The prolific Noel Morales, Yusuf “kc” Fernandez and 3D Divina shone in the Strike NB2 by rolling a separate series of 798, 739 and 738. Freddie Solomon snatched 686 pinfalls while Norman Espejo toppled 526 series in three games.
The veteran Yuli Braganza shot 779 series in four games to lift the Ticao Masbate to humble the Vision Two (15-6). Ver Cayago and Joey Maningas contributed a separate series of 668 and 663 while Saudi Egil and Jun Ego downed 567 and 556.
Ernie Gonzales and Johnny de Asis fired a series of 725 and 700 for Vision Two. Remy Pantaleon and Arman Caraig snatched 657 and 513 while Nap Torres scored 452 in three outings. The House of Donuts team keglers produced 14 points to wallop D’Marvelous who garnered 9 points. Leading scorer in the House of Donuts team were Miles Rodillas, who carded a series of 793 in four games, Eden Bergonio and Atoy Malubay, both carding series of 730 and 721 respectively. Larry Mondoy and Noli Ritual sealed series of 681 and 653.
