Cyber Chatting Saves Man’s Life

HAIL, 29 July 2003 — A participant in an Internet chat room helped to save a person’s life, Al-Eqtisadiah reported. He heard about a person who was in need of a rare blood type to be used in an operation. An appeal was broadcast on the Internet asking for blood donors. Within a few hours, four people with the desired blood type had shown up at the hospital to donate blood.
