RIYADH: Sylvestre Radegonde, Seychelles’ minister of foreign affairs and tourism, has reaffirmed his country’s support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
Seychelles’ commitment was made following a meeting between Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, Saudi Royal Court Advisor, and President Wavel Ramkalawan.
The minister also expressed his country’s appreciation for the First Saudi-African and Fifth Arab-African summits to be held in Riyadh this year.
Kattan, who is on a visit to Seychelles, meanwhile expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation for the support as he conveyed King Salman’s message to Ramkalawan concerning bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation.
Riyadh’s bid to host the event faces competition from Busan in South Korea, Rome in Italy and Odessa in Ukraine.
Through Expo 2030 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia intends to unite countries around the world to change the course of our planet towards a better future, by turning the international event into a platform of opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
