JEDDAH, 19 September 2003 — Titlist Jun Pilipina together with Joe Flores, Abet Sarte, Rally Zamora and Igna Salgado helped Mobi Fabric Softener team explode with 46 points to snatch the numero uno spot in the 8th week of the Monday Night Bowling League chaired by Igna Salgado.
The league is being played at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center. Pilipina pumped-in a 605 series while Flores, Sarte, Zamora and Salgado contributed a separate series of 582, 563, 544 and 522. Mobi Fabric Softener garnered total team series handicap of 2,816 points.
Zuhair Fayez, likewise shared the spotlight with the Mobi Fabric Softener team by collecting 47 points with Criz Villavelez posting a 645 series scratch. Villavelez rolled a game-high of 268. Abdul Birung and Arnel Sanchez toppled 574 and 561 while Johnny Diores and Boying Serquina carded an identical series of 558. Zuhair Fayez tallied total team series handicap of 2,896 points.
Fresh from their good showing in last week’s action, Thunderball sealed 41 points. Wadi Muhammad and Jaffer Al Katiri topscored with a series of 587 and 586. Ghassan Alkhas and Majed Aslani scored 547 and 544. Ahmad Hobani had 519 series.
Tetra Pak squad registered 40 points with Bonnie Garcia (592), followed by Bert Tuvera (588), Rodell Ricafort (558), Ruben Medina (548) and Goying Salazar (462).
The Falcon quintet snatched 40 points with Roger Daquioag with a 604 series. Jun Lasaga, Nanding Siasoco and Rudy Punzalan hammered 592, 548 and 534. Ed Labuac rolled 475 series.
A total of 38 points were submitted by the Cee Bee Aviation Company with Lindo Villanueva on top with 570 points. Benjie Domado rolled 563 points while Boy Casio and Vhoi Ycong poured 552 and 530. Emil Payongayong downed a 526 series.
SkyFreight Forwarders and the FAL bowling teams recorded an identical 34 points. For the SkyFreight Fowarders, Hashim Guinomla led with a series of 588, rolling 227 in the second game. Hero Garcia, Fred Monzon and Danny de Guzman scored 541, 539 and 538.
