RIYADH/JEDDAH, 24 January 2004 — Flag raising ceremonies will be held at 8 a.m. at the Embassy of India in Riyadh and at 7.30 a.m. at the Consulate General of India in Jeddah on Monday (Jan. 26) to mark the 54th anniversary of the country’s Republic Day. It was on Jan. 26, 1950, that the constitution of India was promulgated and the country became a sovereign democratic republic. The embassy and the consulate have invited all Indian nationals to participate in the celebrations.
