BHOPAL, 21 March 2004 — The ambitious first 100-day plan to establish paradise in Madhya Pradesh is yet to be seen even after 100 days of right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule in the state. The roads are the same, full of potholes, power crisis persists and farmers and students are still facing problems. Huge number of transfers in the government have left the entire families disturbed leave aside students. Manohar Bairagi, the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesman, said that Chief Minister Uma Bharati’s promise to solve power crisis in one month is still to be fulfilled.
