JEDDAH, 9 April 2004 — Aqar Holdings has entered into two engineering and technical consulting contracts for the Al-Haram Center project for the value of SR55 million. Thunder International Company will supervise the project for the sum of SR32 million and Dar Al-Dirasat Al-Umaraniyyah will develop the engineering designs of the project for SR23 million.
Ayman Al-Qutub, executive president of Aqar Holding said that the company has now completed the procedure to purchase the land needed for the center, at a price of SR1.2 billion.
The Al-Haram Commercial & Residential Center will be constructed on a 13,650sq. meter site and will cost an estimated SR2,100 million. The construction process is scheduled to take 40 months and will consist of nine connected towers.
