RIYADH, 7 May 2004 — Veteran cagers Rey Gelilio of the Luzviminda Sports Wear and Danny Bugayong along with novice Bryan Cagas of the National Consulting Center teams led their teams to victory during the 3rd week of action of the Filipino Community Basketball League (FCBL) at the 8th Contracting Compound, Exit 12 Riyadh.
Yulo Torion’s Trane Symex team kept in touch by not letting the Sportswear squad widen their lead during the first half through Robert De Castro, Angel Fabro, Peter Hernando, Ness Ibanez and Edwin Tayag. But the Sportswear team with mighty Jeff Salac, Rey Gelilio, Fred Badawi, Ibno Abdulgafor and Ding Natanauan combining their efforts won 98-68.
In another encounter, Gilbert Dinosa’s National Consulting Center (NCC) team overpowered the Hapco team of Michael Carulasan.
