Arab News Event Begins Today

RIYADH, 16 September 2004 — Arab News Junior Inter-School Cup 2004 begins today at the RCA grounds. At the meeting held last Sunday with school representatives it was decided that the tournament would be held for age groups U-15 & U-17.

Fourteen teams will vie in the month-long event, eight in U-17 group and six in U-15. Matches will be of 20 overs a side and will be played on league basis at RCA grounds.

In inaugural matches, Pakistan International School (PIS) clash with Jawahair Al-Riyadh School at RCA-1 ground while Middle East International School (MEIS) will take on International Indian School Riyadh (IISR) at RCA-2 ground. In U-15 group Middle East International School (MEIS) meet Al-Momin International School (AIS), while Pakistan International School (PIS) take on International Indian School Riyadh (IISR).

The following teams are taking part in the tournament.

U-17 Teams: Pakistan International School (PIS), Manarat Al-Riyadh, International Indian School Riyadh (IISR), Sri Lankan International School (SIS), Jawahir Al-Riyadh, Al-Momin International School (AIS), Pakistan International School — English Section (PIS-ES), Middle East International School (MEIS).

U-15 Teams: Pakistan International School (PIS), International Indian School (IISR), Bangladesh International School — English Section (BIS), Middle East International School (MEIS), Al-Momin International School (AIS), Sri Lankan International School (SIS).
