ALKHOBAR, 8 February 2005 — Naizak is investing heavily in local resources to support their Saudization strategy. Mohammed Al-Qaisoum and Sultan Al-Khalide, two of Naizak’s future leaders, have returned from England after being trained on Hitachi Data Systems Thunder series storage products. Naizak as one of the sponsors of www.saudization.org believes that Saudization is important for the long-term future of the Kingdom as well as Naizak.
“IT services is all about people and if we are going to be successful in this field we need to make sure we have the best people and then equip them with the correct skills,” commented Charl Van Niekerk, Naizak’s VP of Services. “Half our current services organization comprises local resources and this percentage will increase gradually over the next few years.”
Naizak is Hitachi Data Systems partner and representative in Saudi Arabia. Hitachi Data Systems is the leading provider of enterprise storage worldwide. Al-Qaisoum and Al-Khalide were trained at Hitachi Data Systems Sefton Park offices London, England.
This was the first trip outside of the Middle East for both of them and they found the experience both exciting and educational. “I feel better equipped now to support Naizak’s customers,” said Al-Qaisoum. “I think this learning experience is excellent for my career development and will make me more marketable,” added Al-Khalide. Both Saudis are now Certified Modular Storage Support Engineers, a worldwide recognized certification.
