LOME: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition has launched an initiative in Lome, the capital of Togo, to provide military equipment to forces designated for counterterrorism operations.
The initiative is a part of the Saudi-backed coalition’s strategic military programs aimed at enhancing the readiness and operational efficiency of member states’ national forces in confronting terrorist threats.
The launch ceremony was attended by Calixte Batossie Madjoulba, Togo’s minister of security and civil protection, and Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi, secretary-general of the coalition, along with senior officials, diplomatic and military figures, and specialists in security affairs.
The initiative reflects the coalition’s ongoing efforts to strengthen member states’ military capabilities and operational readiness in counterterrorism through specialized equipment, modern technologies, and logistical support aimed at improving field performance and operational effectiveness.
