RIYADH, 28 March 2005 — Mani Shankar Aiyar, Indian minister of petroleum and natural gas, will deliver a lecture on “Asian Energy Vision” here this evening. The lecture is being organized by the Riyadh-based International Energy Forum Secretariat, an apex international body set up for holding regular dialogues between energy producing and consuming countries. Aiyar, in his speech, will address the energy challenges that India is facing and outline New Delhi’s new energy diplomacy. “Minister Aiyar, who will arrive here Monday evening, will also be accompanied by his wife”, said M. O. H. Farook, Indian ambassador. Aiyar’s entourage includes Talmiz Ahmad, additional secretary (Administration) at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and former Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
