JEDDAH, 30 March 2005 — Al-Mutawer bowled well as a team to regain the lead after the 17th week in the Monday Night Bowling League at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center.
The good games of Talal Tuwariq and Waheeb Kamfar helped Al-Mutawer took over from Cee Bee Aviation Co. at the top of the team standings.
Tuwariq and Kamfar toppled a separate series of 685 and 671 and splendid support came from Zaki Yassin, Faizal Fintayani, Hani Raddadi and Ahmed Triggano. Yassin and Fintayani scored 627 and 620 while Raddadi and Triggano toppled 602 and 555.
Mutawer produced overall total team handicap of 3,298 pinfalls and a total of 47 big points at the end of the games.
Close-Up, likewise, stole the limelight by posting 39 points through the brilliant games of Jess Pineda (662), Mar Cabrera (657), Edwin Ronquillo (633) and Joey Salvador (600). Nap Patayan and Bonnie Garcia contributed a separate series of 598 and 558. A total team handicap output of 3,188 points was recorded by spirited Close-Up.
Taurus shone once more snatching 37 points through Raul delos Reyes (663),Dante Calapati (611), Boy Casio (610) Obie Ycasas (600), Roger Abantas (570) and Voi Ycong (536). Taurus generated an overall total team output of 3,104 points.
A total of 34 points were recorded by Tetra Pak and the leading scorers were Manny Laguardia (635), Leo Edejer (615) and Bert Tuvera (600). Ruben Medina, Goying Salazar and Rudy Valenzuela had 593, 577 and 518 in that order.
Sid Sagum and Rico Nery seared the lanes to help e Saudia Boys collect 28 points. Sagum and Nery carded a separate series of 653 and 617.
Star Search team keglers garnered 24 points and saw the multi-titlist Cris Villavelez and Abert Sarte led by posting 643 and 611.
