RIYADH: Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji received Norway’s special envoy to Sudan, Endre Stiansen, in Riyadh on Thursday.
During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed the latest developments in Sudan and related efforts.
The Saudi government is focusing on assisting the people of Sudan during the current political crisis.
A prominent Norwegian aid group said on Thursday that Sudan, Congo and Colombia top the list of the world’s most neglected displacement crises.
Sudan, which since 2023 has been ravaged by a bloody conflict, has more than 9 million internally displaced people, the Norwegian Refugee Council said in a statement.
