TAIF: Mamoun Amr Al-Kabbani became the 2026 Saudi Toyota Championship Hill Climb champion on Saturday after the third and final round concluded at the Aqabat Al-Muhammadiyah in Al-Shafa, Taif.
Organized by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, and managed by Bakhashab Motorsport in partnership with Jameel Motorsport, the round featured 48 male and female competitors across 11 classes, in addition to the Ladies Cup.
The 4.2-kilometer route features 30 corners and climbs from 1,900 meters to around 2,150 meters above sea level, presenting a challenge that combines driving precision, corner management and the ability to balance speed with control.
Al-Kabbani claimed first place after the combined total of his two fastest times from the four race runs was calculated, recording an aggregate time of 3 minutes, 25.792 seconds. Faisal Soufyan Al-Kabbani finished second, while Rabih Moayad Al-Awar completed the overall top three.
Mamoun Amr Al-Kabbani said of his title win: “Winning the championship and setting a new record on the Aqabat Al-Muhammadiyah course gives me a great sense of pride and happiness. It was a difficult season and the competition was strong, but the effort we put in throughout the season was rewarded with this result.”
Competition in the final round remained strong across the various classes. The top three in each were as follows:
Class 1: 1 — Mamoun Al-Kabbani with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 25.792 seconds; 2 — Faisal Al-Kabbani; 3 — Alwaleed Zaki.
Class 2A: 1 — Rabih Al-Awar with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 34.540 seconds; 2 — Ahmed Al-Gaidy; 3 — Bader Alyahya.
Class 2B: 1 — Riyad Batal with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 52.443 seconds; 2 — Yousef Balubaid; 3 — Farouk Khateb.
Class 3A: 1 — Mahmoud Abed with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 36.585 seconds; 2 — Sultan Hamdi; 3 — Abdullah Abdulaziz Khojah.
Class 3B: 1 — Ibrahim Al-Sharidah with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 53.659 seconds; 2 — Sultan Kayello; 3 — Hazem Al-Harbi.
Class 4A: 1 — Muhannad Salamah with an aggregate of 4 minutes, 08.130 seconds; 2 — Bandar Al-Silmy; 3 — Abdullah Al-Abbasi.
Class 4B: 1 — Abdullah Momenah with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 57.947 seconds; 2 — Ahmed Kayello; 3 — Samer Ahmed.
Class 5A: 1 — Enas Hamzah Abtini with an aggregate of 4 minutes, 24.287 seconds; 2 — Obay Wail Dhafar; 3 — Abdulrahman Bagasi.
Class 5B: 1 — Omar Abdullah Al-Dini with an aggregate of 4 minutes, 03.262 seconds; 2 — Hatem Al-Hazmi; 3 — Mohammed Habbal.
Cat 2 SC: 1 — Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 39.198 seconds.
Cat 2 SS: 1 — Abdullah Ahmed Alamri with an aggregate of 3 minutes, 50.639 seconds.
Ladies Cup: 1 — Reem Al-Aboud with an aggregate of 4 minutes, 11.676 seconds; 2 — Enas Abtini; 3 — Jazmine Al-Sayed.
