RIYADH, 19 April 2005 — An Egyptian convicted of raping and killing a woman was executed in Riyadh yesterday, the Interior Ministry announced. A statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency said Emad Al-Wakil was found guilty of breaking into the house of another Egyptian and raped, beat and strangled the man’s wife. He then stole money and jewelry from the house and fled, but was arrested.
