‘Matchmaker’ Hustles Bride-Seeking Sucker

DAMMAM, 27 December 2005 — A woman posing as a matchmaker duped a man seeking a bride out of SR5,000, the Al-Watan daily reported. The bride-seeker from Daharan asked the woman to find him a wife. After saying she had found a doctor that accepted his offer, she demanded the money upfront to complete the deal. The man accepted the offer only to later discover that the woman’s phone number had been disconnected.
