DUBAI, 12 March 2006 — Bestselling author Stephen R. Covey will launch the Arabic version of his new book at a seminar at the JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai on March 19. At his only planned appearance in the Middle East this year, the author will introduce “The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness,” which is the new dimension of his bestseller “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
The event is being organized by Franklin Covey Middle East in association with IIR Middle East. It will be followed by a three-day seminar facilitated by Franklin Covey’s Senior Consultant & Facilitator Craig Hiles.
Stephen Covey, cofounder and vice chairman of FranklinCovey, has written many other bestsellers including “First Things First,” and “Principle — Centered Leadership”. He was recognized as one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential Americans in 1996.
FranklinCovey, a global professional services firm, supports and enhances Covey’s vision, discipline and passion to inspire and provide tools for change and growth of individuals and organizations.
Covey will be revealing timeless principles on how to practice the 8th Habit of “finding your voice and inspiring others to find theirs” and go beyond effectiveness to greatness.
“Perhaps the most important vision of all is to develop a sense of self, a sense of your own destiny, a sense of your unique mission and role in life, a sense of purpose and meaning,” says Covey.
“If you want to make minor incremental changes and improvements, work on practices, behavior or attitude. But if you want to make significant, quantum improvement, work on paradigms,” he added.
In the March 20-23 seminar, Covey will explain how effective leaders navigate change, deliver results and create the future. The concepts he presents aim to improve strategic thinking, long-term vision and positive influence on others, the organizers say.
