MANAMA, 8 July 2007 — Danagaz Bahrain will lead a consortium that will build and operate a natural gas to liquids plant at Ras Shukheir in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt. The project, involving the engineering, fabrication, installation and operation of the plant, will be designed to process about 55 billion cubic feet of gas per year and produce some 120,000 tons of propane and butane in liquid form. Local contractors will undertake civil engineering and installation construction. Dana Gas said the plant would use proven state-of-the-art technology that will ensure the recovery of 99 percent of the propane in the gas stream and 100 percent of butane.
