JEDDAH, 29 June 2007 — The Pakistan Journalists Forum dissolved its executive council at a meeting held late Wednesday night.
PJF Chairman Amir Mohammed Khan said a new executive council would be formed at the next PJF meeting scheduled for July 4. The decision to name a new council, he said, was taken after consultation with PJF President Shahid Nayeem.
A two-member ad hoc committee consisting of Shahnaz Shaikh, Pakistan International Airlines station manager at Jeddah, and Shahid Haider of Teem Advertising will run the PJF affairs until the new executive committee takes oath. Jamil Rathore, general secretary of PJF, also spoke on the occasion.
