RIYADH, 12 August 2007 — With six more days to go before it rounds off its summer festival campaign on Aug. 17, Bernardi Department Store’s promotional campaign which entitles customers shopping for SR500 or more to gift vouchers worth SR60 each, draws encouraging response.
In an announcement released here, R. Vijay Raghavan, managing director of the company, said the SR60 vouchers can be redeemed at any Steak House outlets in the Kingdom.
He added that those who spend SR200 or more will receive a 10 percent discount voucher from the same fast food chain. Other incentives to customers include up to 50 percent discounts on various product range.
Raghavan said hundreds of shoppers have been flocking to the third and newest outlet of Bernardi department store on Medina Road in Jeddah recently. The over 13,330 sq.m location is split over two floors, one featuring the latest fashion garments for women and men, household items, gifts and attractive fashion accessories, while the other is meant for the latest trends in fashion for children, shoes, toys, perfumes and cosmetics. An innovative merchandising concept has been used to lend the store a fresh and international ambience for a better view of the products and product categories.
Bernardi opened its first store here last November and the second in Jeddah the following month. Raghavan further said that “their success is based on customer service and genuine brands which we offer, including brands like Barbie, Disney, My Little Pony, Action Man, Arrow, Excalibur, S’Frare, Pupper Kids, etc., that not only give value for money, but also deliver a fresh and exciting look for our customer.”
Bernardi now has three department stores in the Kingdom — one in Riyadh and two in Jeddah. It also has two Bernardi Women stores, at Hayat Mall in Riyadh and Roshan Mall in Jeddah, besides three Go Kids stores at Granada Center and Hayat Mall in Riyadh and Roshan Mall in Jeddah. The management is planning other locations for Bernardi stores, which are due to open in the near feature, he added.
