MUMBAI — Following highly successful exhibitions in Dubai, and also in Mumbai and Delhi, the world renowned Christie’s auction house is holding an exclusive fine selection of modern and contemporary South Asian and Middle Eastern art at the Majestic Imperial Hotel in New Delhi on Sunday, according to a press release by Ganieve Grewal, Christie’s representative in India.
Grewel said that Indian paintings and watches would be on display during the exhibition.
The highlights of the exhibition on view in New Delhi will be Bhupen Khakhar’s “I, Me, My Village,” “Three Painters” by Atul Dodiya, S.H. Raza’s abstract masterpiece “La Terre, “F.N. Souza’s “Untitled” and “The Last Supper” by Fateh Moudarres.
Also shown are works by Hussein Madi, Mahjoub Ben Bella, Koorosh Shishehgaran and Chafic Abboud.
The exhibition is expected to draw a huge number of art lovers from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, as well as from other South East Asia countries, and also within India.
