70 Years On, Search for Sister Goes On

MADINAH, 9 October 2007 — A 75-year-old Indian woman living in Madinah is still looking for her sister who disappeared 70 years ago, according to a report in yesterday’s Al-Madinah newspaper. All her relatives are dead by now.

The woman hopes that her sister, who is two years older than her, is still alive somewhere.

The woman disappeared while both the sisters were traveling between Madinah and Rabigh on their way to Makkah for Umrah after their father’s death. Their uncle accompanied them. Though her uncle lost hope searching for a few days the little sister didn’t.
