JEDDAH, 3 November 2007 — Navodaya Fine Arts in Jeddah will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Thursday at Lora Compound with a variety of cultural and entertainment programs including a historical exhibition, according to V.K. Abdul Rauf, its president.
The celebrations will begin at 6 p.m. with the exhibition focusing on India’s independence struggle. “The exhibition will be interesting and informative for students from all over India.”
Sethu Madavan, program committee convener, said the exhibition would focus on India’s struggle against colonialists. “The exhibition also marks Bhagat Singh’s centenary,” he added.
P.K. Abdul Samad, administrative manager of Al Abeer Medical Center, recently released the brochure of the event titled “Bharatheeyam 2007” in the presence of Navodaya officials and media persons. Navodaya is one of the largest cultural organizations in Jeddah with more than 3,000 members.
